The Leicester & Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) asked us to create an inward investment brochure that could be used to promote Leicestershire and Leicester as a fantastic choice for a business location. The focus should be on the excellent business and quality of life balance that the city and wider county offers.
As a Leicester-based business we wanted to use our first-hand knowledge and pride to showcase Leicester in the best possible way. The brochure needed to make use of quality photography, impress with key statistics and pack a convincing argument for the city in a way that would impress readers, yet ensure they retain key reasons perhaps weeks after reading.
The brochure needed to highlight not only the existing success stories of businesses located in Leicestershire, but also the rich and vibrant lifestyle that is on offer.
Initially, the budget required small print runs, so digital print was the only economical production method. To get around the maximum A3 page size that quality digital printing allows, we got creative with the spec! With an ingenious off-centre fold, we created a format that used allowed us to use a large 300mm square format with alternating square and short pages per spread.
The brochure has been widely adopted by local businesses and LLEP alike in persuading inward investment and relocation into the city and county. During the creative process, Newenglish Design worked closely with the LLEP team, sourcing imagery, writing impressive copy and gathering fantastic facts to use throughout the brochure.
The short page solution works beautifully and is an original way of achieving a coffee table size brochure out of an A3 sheet of paper.
