With an important industry event approaching, Surfacing Standards (SSL) asked Newenglish to create a brochure and exhibition display to show off their services.
SSL wanted to stand out against their competitors and showcase themselves as the lead consultants – the best people for the job.
The Thinking
Before we started the creative process for the brochure, we suggested that we refresh the existing brand identity to bring it in line with our vision for the other materials, and to reflect what SSL do.
To do this we refined the logo to simplify the design and introduced a core 'grass green' to the logo and supporting brand pallete, rather than the original pale violet.
We wanted the brochure and event stand to be very eye-catching and make it very obvious what services SSL provide. SSL have clearly defined services they offer, so we wanted to create an accessible and immediately understandable '4-step' process to establish SSL as a 'one-stop solution' for their clients.
The Result
The result is a completely new and cohesive public face for SSL that clarifies their service offering. Their brand and literature presents them as an approachable, professional business that have bags of expertise.
The new identity hints strongly towards the sector SSL operate within, so works well when it's a standalone piece. The brochure has an almost tactile feel, given by the close range shots of sports surfaces.
